PLAN

NING

Design planning is much more than the aesthetics of how something looks.

Design relates to creating something that will resonate with the intended user

on several levels, including emotional, social, cultural, physical, and cognitive,

while meeting the needs of key stakeholders in budget, timeline and brand.

Design Planning Includes:

•          Problem framing and hypothesis development

•          Research (both quantitative and qualitative methods)

•          Analysis of research which provides insights

•          Synthesis of insights into solution concepts

•          Prototyping, testing and evaluation

•          Business planning to move a message into positive action

This iterative process needs to inform, support and expand an organization’s

strategic vision and intent. It involves cultural and organizational transformation,

and it must take into consideration external factors including technical, social, economic, environmental and political trends in order to meet the demands and needs of people and their evolution.

There are many different types

of design planning when you get

into specific technical areas

including product, communication,

architecture, software, process

and environmental. The design

process, design tools, and visionary

planning can turn an idea, message

or concept into creative solutions

for communication.

My experience includes extensive training in front end evaluation, including

formative, remedial and summative evaluation techniques. In addition

I can help to give impact to your short-term and long-term strategic planning initiatives, including procedure, planning and policy development.
